“Claimant is a widow, 80 years of age and resides on her own land in Marion County where she resided during the war. She had four sons in the Confederate army, on of whom was a captain; also a brother who was a captain in that army. She testifies that she “would rather her sons would volunteer than lay out in the woods as others do.” She furnished them with clothing and adds, “I cannot say as I desired the success of the U. S. after the war commenced. When the war was forced, I wanted to see the Confederacy to succeed. She wasn’t Loyal and the claim is disallowed.”
